OUR HISTORY

One World at Woolery Mill’s story begins with the creation of One World Catering…

In 2008, One World Catering opened up shop with the help of some good ideas and some even better people. Growing quickly in size and reputation from the back of Lennie’s kitchen, our company moved to it’s own facility in 2009 - a facility that now solely houses another sister company, Bloomington Brewing Company. Featuring the food of Executive Chef Corbin Morwick and under the direction of General Manager Lynn Schwartzberg, our company has been recognized for our creative cuisine made from fresh, local, quality ingredients and our impeccable service staff. In summer of 2018, we moved again, this time to our own event space with a brand new state of the art kitchen, One World at Woolery Mill. This new industrial chic building allows us the ability to offer the same high-quality food and impeccable service both off-site and at our new home. So whether it’s a first class business meeting, small luncheon, or the wedding of your dreams, we are here to meet your every need.

OUR HEARTS BEAT FOR BLOOMINGTON

OUR VALUES

In everything we do, we aspire to make this extraordinary town an even better place to live.

One World at Woolery Mill, along with other One World ventures, are focused on getting better, not always necessarily bigger. We love being an independent company, unique to Bloomington, and we strive to shape our services to reflect the city’s distinctive character. We want to be one of the things you love about living here and offer an experience you can’t find anywhere else.

We also aim to be a force for good in our community. Whenever possible, we lend our support to both our people and to the amazing nonprofits in the area.

SUSTAINABILITY

At One World at Woolery Mill, we strive to apply an earth friendly mindset as we make decisions in our both our culinary and facility sectors, as we take steps to reduce waste and energy usage, avoid single use materials, and recycle what's left.

Our environmental approach has earned some recognition, including the "Green Business Award" from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, the "Environmental Award" from the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, and the "Governor's Award for Excellence in Recycling" from the State of Indiana. We're proud of how we've been local pioneers in many of our sustainable practices, but we also see our efforts as journey that is constantly evolving. For us, sustainability is an endless process of improvement.

Finally, we’re committed to a long-term vision: looking ahead to how our choices will impact future generations. We want to leave a legacy of stewardship behind by promoting sustainable practices and making environmentally sound decisions that enable our city and our planet to flourish.

Look and listen for the welfare of the whole people and have always in view not only the present but also the coming generations, even those whose faces are yet beneath the surface of the ground.
— THE UNBORN OF THE FUTURE NATION
